ABOUT UCCI

The University Center for Creativity and Innovation (UCCI) is a center that has been established at the University of Dar es Salaam (october 2005) aiming at enhancing creativity and innovation in the higher learning institutions for community and national development.

The center looks forward to achieving the following objectives:
1. To provide a framework for collecting new ideas and promoting their implementation.
2. To motivate people to utilize their potential creativity skills thereby promoting self-motivation among community members.
3. To use creativity and innovation as meaningful tools for addressing poverty and enhancing development among community members.
4. To enhance alternative solution discovery to society’s problems such as unemployment and diseases like HIV/AIDS, malaria etc.
5. To carry out and participate in different researches carried out those that are inline with the center’s objectives.
6. To equip, build and expose members to necessary creativity and innovation experiences to enhance production of competitive candidates in different fields.
7. To prepare members to face globalization and economic integration by identifying opportunities available thereby reducing fear for the same.

We believe there are so many young men and women who are very creative but they have not been utilized fully. Also the center joins hand the University of Dar Es salaam administration to turning the university to be not only fountain of knowledge but also a fountain of new ideas and discoveries.


The center looks forward to cooperate with other universities all over the world, share and be exposed to other ways of achieving the aim and objectives.

We kindly request for cooperation from you in achieving our aim and objectives,

Depending on the nature of our program we will provide a wide room for your organization/institutions to introduce any idea, new program, forming partnership with us, and disseminating knowledge to our members about your institution/organization and the nature of the business your running,

Is also our hope that you will join us while improving and expanding your business to higher learning institutions, in Tanzania and other universities in the world, since UCCI has a direct link with other Universities abroad.
At your own will you may condact the following with us.

a. prepare and present a motivation speech which can be presented in one of our lecture venue or any other place as per arrangement

b. Present marketing speech to new university community especially first year undergraduate 2007/2008 admision

c. Introducing a brief and introductory remark on the benefits of your customers on your good/services

d. Present any educative speech which may enhance the university community in building confidence and facing the challenges of this globalized world.

e. Inviting our members to visit your Instituion as one of the informing role in marketing

d. present new ideas for implementation or further looking

NB: a center is not restricted with the above mentioned activity as per its constituion.
